Boundary Survey Tampa

Boundary Survey

What is a boundary survey?

Well, the name kind of says it all but in a dictionary definition, boundary surveys find and establish a boundary along the perimeter of the property. You might need a boundary survey done by Surveyors Tampa for a reason like buying, building, or improving the land. After choosing Tampa Surveyors to do your boundary survey we will create a drawing that is as exact as possible to ensure there can be no disputes against it. We like to include the dimensions of a client’s lot, all improvements made, and other permanent structures. Tampa Surveyors also like to include fences even if it's unlikely that they are built on the property line themselves.

What is the Cost?

The cost of boundary surveys includes a lot of different factors. Some of the factors Tampa Surveyors take into account are as follows. Accessibility is a big one, driving terrain and distance are factored into our estimates. The size and shape of the parcel will also be factored in because of the necessary time moving from corner to corner. Variations including lead covering and ground markings to ensure that we are indeed right in our survey.

What to Expect?

When hiring Tampa Surveyors for your boundary survey here is our process of how we get the job done. First and foremost we have to establish where each corner of the property is, this is to ensure when we point our laser measuring devices we have the proper point established. After finding the first corner we will mark it with a post or flag to have an aiming point for our measuring device. Markers are important because needing clear and precise measurements include having highly visible markers. If corners are hard to see we will place other markers pointing towards the corner. Commissioners can choose to include sheds, buildings, pools, fences, and other permanent structures within the boundary lines. We also take into account any potential encroachments for further notation. Since drawing boundaries is legally binding documentation we will comply with all Florida rules and regulations about defining property lines.

Boundary Survey Components

The survey isn’t the only part that goes into a good boundary survey. Before a surveyor is even on-site he can research the deed registry to ensure that some information from other sources is indeed correct. Deed Sketches are next and these will be done off of the research done on the deed registry and also from past surveyors from the property. The field recon comes next and this is the portion where we show up and measure everything out including looking for encroachments. After the most important part of the field recon, Tampa Surveyors will enter in all the data and begin preparing the final plan. This plan will contain all final findings and possible recommendations in the case of encroachments. After all, this is finished we visit the site one last time to show where corners and property lines are to the landowner and mark them with either string, spray paint, or another noticeable marker.
