What is an ALTA survey? 

We understand that a bunch of different surveys is needed before, during, and after building. The American Land Title Association sets a standard to be abided by all surveyors. ALTA surveys are used most frequently by banks when you ask for a loan on a new property in or outside your state. 


What are the Standards?

When performing an ALTA survey there is a set requirement for all the elements that need to be included in Table A. This includes boundary lines, encroachments, locations of structures, water features, utility lines, and connections, easements, and a plat of boundaries. Any new information can be in Table A in the process of preparing for newer surveys. Lenders might also require delineation of the flood zone to ensure safe investment of their properties.
